Our 8-week certification course will prepare students in all phases of flower shop skills. This course is for those who wish to start a career in floral design. Floral tools and an apron will be provided to each student. There is no application fee and there are 12-spots available each semester, apply today.
Upon completion of the 8-week course, students will have developed a professional portfolio and will be awarded a certification from the PAFA. An internship in a student’s area preference will be supported by the PAFA, but are not guaranteed. Students will be designing every day to build skills, confidence, and speed. We will teach students to be flower designers, while they develop their own personal style. Our first semester begins on March 5, 2018. Already certified? Only 12 spaces are available. Flower shops accepted into our 8-week internship program will agree to hire our certified graduates for 8-weeks. This can be full-time or part-time. At the successful completion of the internship, the flower shop will receive $300 from the PAFA.
Learn to make all the flower items needed for weddings. Our master students will be able to make a full flowering cascade in under one hour.
Premium wedding flowers will be used throughout the class so flower artists can experience techniques needed to work with very delicate flowers. Selling, pricing, and developing a wedding inventory list will all be part of this intense week. The Wedding Class is available upon successful completion of the PAFA 8-week certification course.
